Love Organization:
Promiscuity
Promiscuity is an intended short-term
(non permanent) intimate relationship by one (or often
both) participants. It’s ‘body-parts passing
in the night’ – or if for a longer period
of time - an ‘affair’.
In situations where one or both participants
are already living in a declared “Exclusive Couple”
form of Love Organization (i.e., married /engaged/living
together) – promiscuity is referred to as ‘cheating’.
It’s the Love Organization that typically
follows youthful Sensual Hermitage –
when it’s time for ‘playing the field’
/ experimenting.
Promiscuity is also frequently practiced
between failed relationships – during the
search for a replacement ‘exclusive partner’.
Cheating on partners is widespread among both men and
women.
Some practitioners of Promiscuity
report that the Love Organization is long on physical
sensations – but short on meaningfulness due to
its short term nature. One quipped that ‘there are
not many long term practitioners of Promiscuity –
it’s just too emotionally empty’. Many folks
later move on to another of the Love Organizations.
